Today’s video is fueled by Scott Base Vineyard in Cromwell, New Zealand. After all of the time I’ve spent in New Zealand, this is far and away my favorite winery.

  1. I disagree about Europe. France is … widely known but there are countries with good wine like Germany Rhineland Riesling, Croatia that actually had the Best wine in Europe 2011. with Ilok ice harvest … that have water sources enough and close in order to cheaply maintain operating costs.

  2. If it wasn't for the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect, I wonder if this channel would even exist. I have no way to know if he knows what he is talking about with the vast majority of videos, but whenever he does talk about a topic that I know about, he is wrong. Anyone with knowledge of the wine industries in any of the regions he mentioned have anything to say about this analysis?

  3. How about BC Canada or Ontario Canada. Are these regions have a chance like New Zealand and Aussies ?

  4. PZ, you know how to live. Be sure to stop by in Marlborough for the sauvignon blanc. Lovely notes of citrus, new-mown grass and a distinctive minerality.

  5. China: look at Australia's experience with China's list of demands and trade barriers for pissing in China's pot.
Most wines and expansion are dependent on China unless you can diversify markets.
Wine 🍷 is oversupplied and too many people periodically invest, causing gluts and oversupply.

  6. Just like mining. Capital intensive, and decade long timeline till it pays off. If ever

  7. Your Persian fans love you right now for mentioning Iran first. Hopefully one day Iran will have a (legal) wine industry again.

  8. You would have been pretty chopped by the time you finished filming that vid… 😂

  9. Regarding France: it would be interesting if there are any statistics on WHO is procreating so enthusiastically in France: just the immigrants in the banlieues or also the descendants of what used to be French, more than three generations. My point: do the numbers show the reality well? Does a growth in Muslim percentage influence the love for wine?

  10. This guys videos now just boil down to “entire world doomed, America fine”. And given the fact that he’s a payed neoliberal regime shill, it makes sense.
