That's just across the Rhine from where my ancestors emigrated from in the Black Forest. That's why it's so familiar. 200 years ago, they all spoke a similar German dialect. Some still do. The city of Strasbourg, FR is maybe 30 minutes drive from the village in the Black Forest.
