Es mag sein, dass Sie es lustig finden Milliarden von Christen und ihren Glauben lächerlich zu machen. Ich finde es absolut respektlos, primitiv und dumm. Wo bleibt Ihr Aufschrei, wenn Sie sich sonst für Respekt gegenüber Moslems, Buddismus und Juden einsetzten. Und den Trans-Menschen? Ist es schizophren, für einige Respekt zu fordern und das Lächerlich machen von Milliarden Menschen lustig zu finden. Ist das Ihr Verständnis von Respekt, Achtung vor der Würde von Menschen und Toleranz? Pfui kann ich nur sagen. Was hat diese Schmierentheater noch mit Olympia zu tun. Alle Sponsoren sollten sofort ihre Werbung und ihre finanziellen Zusagen zurückziehen. Und für mich ist es fragwürdig, warum ich sollten "KünstlerInnen" noch Respekt entgegenbringen. Dazu gibt es keinen Grund mehr.
Why are Neo Christians all of a sudden so concerned about this issue while accepting many other symbols and practices from the pagan and satanic rituals? I decided not to watch this games again – because the Olympic games has now changed to "LGBTQpics" – loss of meaning.& Purpose – this is not really what this games should stand for – became boring already 🙈.

I am in China. Even though most of us are non-religious , the ceremony seems quite weird. It just makes me and my friends confused.😅 Is there anything to do with SPORT or FRANCE….? Should some parts be considered appropriate when presenting to all ages…? And what's more, for me, I don't think this ceremony helps LBGT groups in a positive way because it just emphasizes some bad stereotypes towards these groups again and again… I have gay and lesbian friends. They don't do any drama things and they are faithful to love.😡

The Intl Commitee of the Olympic Games did not apologize for any disaster (because there was none!). They EXPLAINED the rational and choices of the show. Again, this was a reference to Greek Mythology. Seriously, in where in the bible does it speak about a big guy representing Dionysus during the Last Supper??? Stop misinforming your followers by changing the facts. Shame on you!
As a Christian myself, this of disgusting. I don’t understand how everything I believe in can be mocked and demonized. It’s sad to see where the world has gone. God bless!

It is not Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper with Jesus that is represented in the Olympic Games opening, but rather The Feast of the Gods by the painter Jan Harmensz van Biljert. These are the Olympic Games, so the aim was to reference the gods of Olympus. Moreover, the blue character (Philippe Katerine) evokes Dionysus (Bacchus for the Romans and Gallo-Romans) who is depicted lying in the foreground in the painting. In the center, it is not Jesus but Apollo who presides over the table, he is crowned and as far as I know, in the Last Supper Jesus neither has a crown nor a halo on his head. As stated in the link I share with you, he is also "identifiable by his lyre," which is why his musical instrument (the lyre) is replaced by a DJ's mixing table. As far as I know, Jesus does not possess a musical instrument in the Last Supper. All around are just gods of Olympus. Moreover, Bacchus has a specific link with Sequena, the Gaulish goddess of the Seine, as she was included in the Gallo-Roman pantheon by making her the daughter of Bacchus. Another thing in The Feast of the Gods, characters dance in front of the seated gods, this is exactly what was reproduced at the Olympics. I advise you to take a step back before mindlessly relaying the foolishness of the brainless who only react, do not take the time to understand, or only think of creating buzz, or those who manipulate people's minds for political purposes or simply to harm France, and there are many of them at the moment (I hope this is not your case). The opening chromo its are not for everyone to feel represented. It is about a LOT of hard-working athletes that are the best in their field, competing with each other. The focus on anyones sexuality is absolutely absurd.

Instead of feeling threatened by a bunch of drag queens, christians should more focus on their real problems of repeating sex scandals on children and women during the last few decades. For instance, the last one with l'abbé Pierre: scandal that came out days before the Olympic Ceremony (research on it if you dare!). But of course, total silence on that.
