Crispy Homemade McDonald’s-Style French Fries #shorts
Ingredients:
🥔 Potatoes – 2.2 lbs (1 kg)
🌻 Sunflower oil – 4.2 cups (1 liter)
🧂 Salt to taste
Recipe: https://amoftaste.com/recipe/mcdonald-s-french-fries/
Cooking Instructions:
1. Scrub and peel large potatoes. Cut into thick strips (about 1/5 inch or 5 mm on each side).
2. Soak the cut potatoes in water for 15-20 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Pat the potatoes dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
4. Heat the oil in a clean, dry pot to 320-330°F (160-165°C). Fry the prepared potatoes for 5-6 minutes. They should float and have a pale crust. If you pick up a fry by one end, it should droop under its own weight.
5. Transfer the fries to paper towels to drain excess oil. At this point, you can freeze them if desired.
6. Reheat the oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the par-cooked potatoes for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
7. Season the hot fries with fine salt.
Enjoy your homemade crispy fries!
