The opening ceremony for the 2024 Olympic Games has sparked a furious backlash from Christian viewers around the world. The 2024 Paris games organisers have apologised to Christian groups angered by a tableau in the Olympic Games opening ceremony. The tableau had parodied Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous ‘The Last Supper’ painting.
The segment resembled the biblical scene of Jesus Christ and his apostles sharing a last meal before crucifixion. It featured drag queens, a transgender model and a naked singer who represented the Greek god of wine Dionysus. The parody drew sharp criticism from the Catholic Church and the religious right.

Moral of the Story: NEVER EVER give responsibility next time to a creative director that has an extremely poor understanding of culture and religion outside his own. As Olympics are participated with people all over the world with varying perception, creative ideas should remain neutral, sensitive & unbiased. Unlike Christianity, It seems he understand all too well not to make fun of the Muslim faith for some reason.
First of all that is not an apology, second, the only thing that you achieve is embarrassment and division, the opposite of what it is supposed to bring in the Olympics, unity through sports. Showing a Woke parade and a man with his testicles out in front of a young girl is just grotesque and a sexual preference, that is not kindness, inclusion, or Love at all, is a disrespectful act and an awfully managed event. The intention was clearly last supper and adding dionysus ( & the hanging ball sac represents fertilty) to the table coz he know they will be questioned about it and they need to let it slide.
