  2. This is just my thoughts, and feel free to disagree, I think when people, anyone, creative geniuses like this act in such a way as to become abusive it should maybe not be hero worshipped. I get its a super high stress job and they are seeking perfection, but for me, honestly, I don't think its ever acceptable to make people afraid of you intentionally. Sure, be rough, be demanding, but when it hits a level that makes other people feel threatened I don't know if that's to be celebrated. Maybe that's the cost of greatness?

    You know, I typed this and as I did, I kind of rethought a bit. I suppose those folks who choose to be in his orbit get it, and understand what he's about and how to deal. Maybe it's just that those who push for greatness aren't meant for the general public, and those who choose to be around it understand and support the goal. I'm never a fan of just being mean to folks, but swords are forged in fire and strife does have it's value. There is probably a balance between being needlessly angry and self absorbed vs watering down your core to make everyone happy. Or maybe there isn't. We don't ask nuclear reactors to be safe for babies, we don't think that it's reasonable for race cars to be driven in public, maybe true genius is best left to it's own devices surrounded by those who can deal with it.

I gotta say i vibe with him, he just has IT, he is honest, he has standards, i think that's the biggest thing, he gave back his michelin star's because he legit felt they didn't meet his own standards anymore, he can be called a perfectionist but at the same time he goes with the flow, i don't hate Gordon at all but G.R. tries hard to be the best, he pushes and works and competes, Marco doesn't do that, he just goes and knows, you cant beat someone who isn't competing but is amazing, i like G.R. but Marco is just on another plane, i don't think its something you can teach or even work hard for, you just kind of have to feel it, maybe there should be a M.P.W. Star for something that is just next level and Consistent.

  9. The problem with that amateur reporter at 1.52 is that she asks closed ended 'yes/no' questions. She has herself to blame. Her boss should have fired her on the spot for being a shite reporter and not being prepared.

  10. That's not your house, it's a restaurant (i.e. a business). A surgeon spending 20 hrs in an operating room doesn't consider that their home. This is just attitude to get attention.

  11. Bro that mother being happy with the dish comment was probably the most savage thing I’ve ever seen a chef do on a cooking show. It’s also a super good question to see if the other chef will be honest with themselves about if it could be better cause you gotta be the best to win
