“French Fries Are Worse Than Cigarettes” #really.
Acrylamide is a chemical compound that forms in certain foods during high-temperature cooking processes, such as frying, baking, roasting, and toasting. It is created through the Maillard reaction, which occurs between amino acids (primarily asparagine) and reducing sugars. While there is evidence suggesting that acrylamide may have neurotoxic and carcinogenic properties, the nuances of its formation and the amounts consumed are crucial factors in assessing its risk.
Formation of Acrylamide in Food
1. High-Temperature Cooking:
Cooking Methods: Acrylamide forms in starchy foods when cooked at temperatures above 120°C (248°F). Common foods that may contain acrylamide include fried potatoes (e.g., French fries, potato chips), baked goods (e.g., bread, cookies), and roasted coffee.
Maillard Reaction: This chemical reaction between amino acids and reducing sugars gives browned food its distinctive flavor and color. Asparagine, an amino acid, reacts with sugars to form acrylamide during this process.
2. Types of Foods:
Starchy Foods: Foods rich in carbohydrates, particularly those with high levels of asparagine, are more likely to form acrylamide when subjected to high heat. Potatoes, grains, and certain vegetables are common sources.
Processed Foods: Many processed foods undergo high-temperature cooking, making them potential acrylamide sources. This includes snacks like chips, crackers, and cereals.

which is worse this pack of maror Reds or this french fries from McDonald’s this package of french fries has more acryline in it than this package to smokes acryline is a toxic substance you must avoid it McDonald’s french fries is really worse than cigarettes we know they’re not exactly on top of our diet plans with pretty unfavorable nutritional content but I believe he’s referring to acrylamide cuz these have no acryline that’s literally used to make Dentures which is a likely cogenic substance keyword likely the ayomide naturally forms when sugars in white starches are cooked at high temperatures like frying or baking in rodent studies it has been shown to cause cancer but in levels much higher than are present in human food and no human research has consistently proven this carcinogenic effect either the way there’s been some research suggestion that to avoid these effects you can have less than 2.6 microgr per kilo per day this is 182 microgr for 70 kilo person large fries have 82 Which is less than that not worse

Oh no. Cooked carbs is worse than breathing in smoke, tar, and neurotoxin into your lungs.
Yes mcdonalds fries are worse because McDonald's supports genocide in Palestine against the indigenous Palestinians
Course bro thinking he's a doctor, guys don't believe these videos as cigs have another 70 or so cancerous chemicals, technically speaking by that logic existing causes cancer
What's worse, fried potato or a paper straw filled with plants and cancerous chemicals that will permanently destroy your body both with cancer and other diseases. Stay smart yall
That dude looks like he's been eating cigarettes for the past 30 years.
No human has proven!?!??! Did you honestly missed out on early 2000s "Super size me"!?!? That dude DIED cause of McDonald's!!!!!
I would LOVE to be there to have seen the brain storming session for this video.
Just. 5 people sitting at a table shit talking potatoes.
I want to know the steps in logic they took to get to this point.
Which smells worse? 🚬
I feel like this is an absurd comparison. They're only comparing one chemical, when in fact cigarettes have so many more.
Until I saw the video of the guy smoking a McDonald's fry, that was it for me lol
Well McDonald's fries don't have
Paving tar
Rat poison
And
Pesticides
In it
Ive neglected eating at any restaurant at this point. They are actively trying to kill us.
I'm not saying you fries are good for you, but fries never made me cough black tar.
Another fun fact: eating something is very different from setting it on fire and inhaling the fumes.
Smokers try not to come up with excuses challenge: (impossible)
Fries have more salt and more fat than cigarettes, thus they have to be worse than cigarettes? 🙂
I don't need to watch the video. No they aren't worse than cigarettes, that's the dumbest shit I've ever heard 😂
That guy is a fucking moron. If you wanna get healthy stay off both.
Having A.R.F.I.D and 3 damaged senses which heightened my touch and taste abilities to titan levels, giving me the ability to taste every molecule. Allowing me to avoid toxic foods from certain areas. But in turn makes me loathe food altogether
The sugar is probably worse tbh
Last time i had mcdonalds (i previously hadnt eaten it for at least 3 years) i chomped down on some french fries and my mouth felt filmy, and my WHOLE MOUTH started going numb for like 20 minutes! Never again!!
If you smoke, ur likely to also have that fry too.
my dad arguing why he shouldn't stop, and why I'm clearly more unhealthy:
I hate people spreading misunderstood information or completely wrong information, and others take it at face value. No McDonald isn't the best for you but comparing them to cigarettes is unfair.
Fries might cause cancer.
Ciggies will cause cancer.
We been known this
Well they might be if you smoke them
French fries dont cause lung cancer
Now I can smoke
the way he said "or this.. French fries from mcdonalds" make me giggle
The worst thing technology did was make everyone feel important and like they know everything from watching 2 tiktoks about a subject without actually confirming information, these people are why we can't have nice things.
"these fries have more potatoes than the cigarettes, studies say potatoes have starch and starch turns to sugar and sugar is bad."
I gotta stop smoking McDonald's fries 😢
The fries are worse because they’re cooked in vegetable seed oils, which is are the fats that cause clogged arteries (not saturated fat) and rampant inflammation in the body.
Lol shuuure fam.
bro did critical thinking wrong
Yeah you're also not smoking fries lol
🤔 I thought that he was referring to acrolein and just couldn't pronounce it, not that he confused acrylamide with acryline, but the end result is the same, I guess😅😅
There's H20 in poison. Stay away from H20
I was hearing a similar thing with coffee shops and keurags. My understanding is that if you let it cool for a second, the acrylamide goes down. Don't take my word for it, but I think it was on a counter at a Peet's Coffee shop.
The soy bean oil it's cooked in however…
This dude just didn't even consider benzo a pyrene 😂
Acrylamide is only produced in the presence of pufa when cooking starches at high temperatures
