Hello Everyone! Thank you joining us on today’s video where we take you on a mini adventure to the charming village of Oloron-Sainte-Marie. We first visited the villagecity when we began our house search. We toured our first ever potential home, (very rurally located) less than 15 minutes away from OSM. Oloron-Sainte-Marie may have been our local village and market days would have been a weekday treat. Bliss!

[Music] take a look at where you’ve been and how you’ve come so far no matter where you find yourself you’re always where you are go anywhere you go do anything you do I’ll be with you take a moment take an hour take another year start again or keep going I’ll always be right here feel anything you feel hear anything you hear you’ll never disappear when it feels like you’re walking back when you’re at luck and often path broken and far from home just remember that that you’re not [Music] alone trying not to take too deep afraid of what you’ll find give yourself the grace you show me all the time cuz when you love yourself you can give that love to someone else look at these beautiful beautiful homes here mornings come and Seasons go and life can get so hard it’s easy to forget the things that make you who you are I hope that when you look at you you see yourself the way that I [Music] do when it feels like you’re walking back when you’re at looking off the trust him this one is it a flow or a shoe cabbage yeah por Lio oh yeah I’ll get it it’s beautiful like this one we I didn’t see anything oh those are nice are there for oh how many are there four oh those are actually really pretty yeah they’re what what’s it say on the bottom right here okay triet triet looks a little bit modern tell me if you like copper things not finding much luck with the copper it’s a nice well it’s not nice needs a lot of work all right ready you go to the car and drop that off and I’ll be here okay kind of found something that’ be interesting um for the workshop but also I don’t know if somebody like an artists would love to have it that is very unique it’s heavy heav it is oh I really like the shape of that ice cream just five is off you know what I [Music] mean what do you think about these These are pretty [Music] yeah long recognized as the balcony and Gateway of the py olon samarie offers a wide choice of activities less than an hour away these include thermal Spas ski resorts and picturesque hikes the surrounding Force were used by the French navy to build the ships during the 18th and 19th centuries and many symbols of the city’s wealth at that time still stand including the beautiful AG to s pi here throughout the summer there are many festivals and markets and of course feed graner so come along and let’s see what we found in or S all right it’s [Music] rolling okay we’re back everybody it was another long day um as you saw there was some beautiful footage on Justin’s part with the droning have an amazing haul we’re did good today yeah we haven’t had a haul like this since we got back from the United States well it was really great this time because uh normally we go within about sort of 30 to 40 mil of of the house and Jenny said uh let’s go out a little further so we actually went to our old stomping grounds where we first sort of discovered the Pyrenees M and uh because of that I think uh we had some luck as you can see it’s kind of a porcelain day for us yes so we found a beautiful set actually was Justin who found this lovely lovely set we do have a story to tell you though um we had this beautiful bowl and I think we already threw it out unfortunately we bought a beautiful bowl that would have matched this set and when we returned home and unloaded all of our wear we noticed that there was a significant crack and CH to it so it wasn’t there when we bought it and it may have happened when it was in the car so I think this is a learning experience for us yeah um I thought we packed it pretty well so uh I was really surprised to see that it happened but um you know unfortunately it does happen and uh we do have a lot of good packing material so we could have missed it it could happen on the way to the car it could happen in the car who knows but uh regardless there’s a crack in it um I haven’t thrown it away cuz I never throw anything away it’s in a safe spot right now it’s what if we did that gold inlay the Japanese style that would be at least a video to try and figure it out let us know if any of you do that at home if you have Potter that’s broken and you put an inlay of gold or what have you mend it anyway let us know we give everybody a um video tour thank you I’ll give everybody a video tour after but are there any stories today that you’d like to share um well you know I think it ran the whole Gambit uh I had to hard negotiate with a probably an 8-year-old today uh that was really good uh I had to hard negotiate with somebody in their 70s um um and then it was a couple easy negotiations too but uh that that was um I think the story today was just getting out of our our normal area because it’s been over a year since the last time we out there so just uh the scenery and what we saw and then um in the Town Square cuz it was a true Town Square uh the V granny was within it surrounded by beautiful trees so that was really cool to see so um it made me think about why we moved to the south of France in the first place yeah uh so that was really good to see yeah it was nice and in oron s Marie the square that we were at the the the houses and I’m more about noticing you know the buildings and the architecture and I found those just to be so fabulous kind of reminded me of a little square in uh Bor oh yeah sure to even though Bor is O perene and oron is per atlan anyways anything today that you really lik that you found oh it was easy it was easy for me I have no idea so tell me I saw something from far mhm I thought it was beautiful I thought it was old I thought it was classic and that’s this bad boy right here oh this suer yeah and again it has some wear and tear it’s a little Dusty I need to wash it um it’s definitely well well used but my goodness it’s a diguan which is from the late 1800s yes uh it is so beautiful so stunning I am so excited and uh the couple um that I ended up buying it from it was his uh grandmother’s so it’s been in the family for quite a long time and uh was just so happy to find that and happy to uh hopefully be able to share that with someone who can appreciate as much as I do yeah there are few tains and nicks throughout but I think many of you that like that kind of that worn not necessarily worn but it’s it just feels it feels like it matches the year that it came from like I don’t know what it is about these things I have a fond for animals and you know as much as I would love to have some sheep even a cow or two I found these you’re going to laugh these can be used as claes I think these make great garden claes growing lettuce you need to protect them from the birds these are wonderful but many of you may not realize that these are actual Vash muzzles or Vash I say cow these were the muzzles that they would put on the animals to prevent them from eating their fruits or vegetables or whatever just prevent them just to prevent them from eating anything what it would be we heard that from somebody uh a while ago and I hope it’s true I hope it’s true okay when I see an animal wearing this I’ll let you know ready let’s do a thumbnail it’s almost like one of those fencing things oh yeah it’s kind of fencing things on guard touche here you go this is this would be an on guard thing oh oops there you go s this one back to you okay are these beautiful candlesticks or what yeah we found this in the uh Village of I’m not making her wear this she’s doing it on her own I’ll take it off we found another lovely set of matching candlesticks in brass so we have those uh you did something very unusual I think the very first item of the V graner hunt was this little tiny green cabbage because it’s a shoe it’s a little cabbage it’s so cute it’s actually quite cute yeah so cute very well made yeah fired very well it’s a vintage it’s not an antique piece but it is so cute and there’s even a little place for your Ladle yeah so you can put a little Ladle so it’s for soup or dips what have you but on behalf of uh many people around the world I’d like to congratulate you from going out of your comfort zone and buying something with color in it I bought color so I love color it just has to be outdoors many of you who are with us that follow our show I think that you you have your neutral lovers as well so I think you know we kind of like birds of a feather flu together speaking of birds um look at this three Ducks yeah got this wonderful handmade basket here love that shap she saying it was a baby cradle no this is not a baby cradle this is a harvest basket oh okay all right so let me show you the Lemo things here this is the set of of three you’ve got your serving dish here the seller at the V grer say that told us that this would be very beautiful when you put hydrangeas in it our hydrangeas are slowly coming into season so I’ll see if I can style that this week and then give you an idea of what that would look like I thought the same for this one as well another beautiful beautiful piece it’s a vintage piece it’s not antique like this one this is another L Mo here look how stunning this is make sure I don’t break it porcelain is delicate but look at this near perfect condition this one is not an antique it’s a newer one but you can at least put this in the washing machine and in the microwave so that is incredible newer L Mo we have 10 of these beautiful glass scops aren’t those gorgeous so for those of you that are looking to throw your next summer party I’ve got you covered and this is the cute little little shoe container so cute see if I can hold it no I don’t want to break it and I don’t want to do anything onehanded you’re familiar with this brand and another L Mo pedestal which I’m really surprised the other one hasn’t sold it’s quite beautiful this is the deuan Sarah GRE mines which is from the 1800s well- loved well used some tea stain and crackling but that assures you the age and the love that was put into this soup bowl just got to give it a good clean and I will soak this in baking soda to give it a good good deep clean and see if I can get out a lot of that dirt takies on the inside look at that it’s from a bronze mold very very cute little butts in case you want something for your butter for your table something from France as a souvenir and also this very unique picture it’s a very heavy item but very cute if you’re looking for some unique Decor right now in the magazines milk I see a lot of these like sculptural um midcentury modern uh Decor right now so that’s definitely in and look at this this is a homemade uh there’s an artist in bass I don’t know tell me what you see but as you saw it earlier there’s the name of the artist so I’ll give this a good clean too and also offer it for sale if you’re looking for Unique abstract sort of art for your home these are excellent claes or you can use it to help you decorate your own wear you can use it to help you arrange flowers and a grand vase so many wonderful uses these I have my own collection of I’ve been collecting them I’ll show you I’ll show them to you actually I’ll show them to you now let’s go into the dining room these are old old tea canisters and they people who sell them sell them for a couple of hundreds or hundreds of dollars I’ve got my own collection here in the dining room look at that oh oh guys actually these three go together now I have a oh these two are the same oh so I think what we’ll do we’ll polish this one up and now I think I can offer one to you to help you begin your own collection so these two but these are older yeah these are the same size okay I’ll try to find another one of these but in the meantime if you like this then I will offer one for you and then the lovely candlestick holders cuz I am absolutely obsessed with them and I hope that you are too and want to build your own collection let’s pretend I’m a psychologist you going to do the r shark test what do you see I see uh Mary and uh the little baby that’s what I see I see something that starts with the p me too I see you again goodbye everybody bye bye

  1. What a beautiful town and outing. Really appreciate coming along. My husband broke yesterday a large french water or milk pitcher. You had one for sale before I went on vacation, but then I did not need one. Large once are not easy to find. All your finds are wonderful again. You both are such a treat to watch. ❤

  2. Oh my that's so funny, you made my day because I saw something beginning with P too, loved that lovely town and your wonderful finds.

  3. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed your next-level styling on your brocante finds, very beautiful videography, I am choosing to unsubscribe due to your finding humor in an item that brought incredible discomfort to an innocent animal (Justin "I hope the story is true") in regards to the Vache Muzzles. Just not my kind of people.

  4. Hi guys! I love watching you videos…all of them, from work around your beautiful home, to all your shopping adventures. I enjoy with my morning coffee. 😊
The little green cabbage bowl you have…..my husband and I received a larger one as a wedding gift 44 years ago. It's exactly the same, but ours has a ladle and a larger saucer underneath. It's a soup turn and from Portugal. Very cute piece.
    Keep the videos coming!
