let’s try the 2021 Cabernet Franc from between the lines Winery this is a really underappreciated varietal that grows so well here in Ontario it’s usually medium bodied sometimes a little Fuller and with characteristic notes of cherry and green pepper and sometimes a little bit of black pepper but what’s really interesting about it is that it very easily takes on the characteristic of wherever it grows so you can find Cabernet francs from Ontario that are extremely different in character consistently good but very different from one another and so it’s a really interesting varietal to dig into this one’s the 2021 vintage from Between the Lions Winery in Niagara on the Lake this one’s on the younger side so I I’m going to decant this and I’m going to do a separate video about why we do this and what it does to the wine so I’m going to open this up decant it and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes or so maybe longer to let it open up and then really get the character of the wine oh that’s so good so the palette’s not overly fruity it still got some Tan in this present
