[Music] hi I’m Victoria welcome to my channel called comeback with wine while I review affordable wines now that the sunny warm weather is here what’s better than sitting in the sun with a dry refreshing cold glass of Ros sitting in the sun with a cold refreshing glass of beer I no Ros definitely wins over beer NOP I’m sure half the population disagrees with you well I’m sure the audience will agree with me because it’s not it’s not called come back with beers it’s called come back with wine we have to check the demographics um so yes similar to the Sals of ice cream when the weather is warm and sunny the cells of Rosé shoot up and there’s one particular Rosé I would like to talk to you about today and that’s Whispering angel you’re probably familiar with Whispering Angel as you probably had a glass in a trendy bar or trendy restaurant or for the lucky ones you know having glass of it on a yacht uh in the Mediterranean but say Whispering Angel has now become the world’s biggest selling premium Rosé why is Whispering Angel so successful it is a high quality Rosé made with handh harvested grapes it is also a bone dry rosé but but yet very smooth and easy drinking and an absolute crowd pleaser it has been endorsed by celebrities and the color as well that kind of abot pink is perfect for your kind of social media posts but I think the key for me in terms of the success of this Rosa is the name Whispering Angel obviously sounds lovely but also usually French wines always have French names that English and Americans really struggle to pronounce and obviously with spring Angel makes that a lot easier for for everybody kind of to to pronounce so he a traitor of the French language M the whispering Angel a little bit but is Whispering Angel really worth the price tag so this wine I bought from sabur for £22 so you can buy it from ssb’s 22 or weit 21 actually funny enough I didn’t find it in weight in tesos which I think they’re trying to show that they’re slight leak and more premium being in just wait and Sainsbury’s um if you want a more you know more value Rosé but also good quality then maybe look at the neighbor of provance which is the longer do op do Ros which make the most Rosé in the world and they really have lovely high quality roses which the quality has improved immensely over the years and yes and you’ll get a lot more uh lot more for your money uh this one which is a which is called esis Ros um I bought for little for 7.49 so is’s a massive difference in price but it’s not an English name so you know I can’t pronounce it so I’m not going to buy it yeah maybe so yeah so let’s try this one so Whispering Angel Cav discl Sasha lein is the wine maker who made whispering Angel he was actually born in Margo so in in bordo and then he bought chatau desan um in provance and and he’s the one who started basically Whispering Angel he also lived between France and the state so I think he kind of had that idea that if he you know introduced a wine that was you know written in English that it would appeal to the American um as well and he was very right on that because he’s done very well I quite like the shape of the bottle as well the neck is very kind of thin thinner than usual and the color is lovely Like A really lovely kind of yeah peachy light pink you’re really selling it to your male audience here sunshine in a glass I would say for Ros so yeah on the note I’m getting a lot of kind of minerality I’m getting definitely strawberry grapefruit grapefruit um also some floral notes I want to say like orange Rossa Maybe it is a very enjoyable Ros I have to say on the palette I’m getting um you know strawberry strawberry is probably the first note you get um strawberry strawberry grapefruit um orange blossom again that minerality really crisp Rosé the acidity I on to say medium it’s not very high acidity but it’s yeah very smooth it doesn’t have any of that kind of Sometimes some roses can be dry rosé can be slightly bitter um and that one is just really yeah really fruity um the Finish is not that long I’d say no probably medium finish um yeah it’s it’s it’s very enjoyable Rosé the next wine we’re going to try is the wine I B from little for $7.49 so obviously a big price difference with with the whispering Angel there that’s like 21 uh so esis Ros Prestige 2022 this one is a p do so long do so neighbor to to provance to C the provance um the gra VAR typically used although it’s not listed here is uh is gach Sor or or S um [Music] so the color on this one is slightly more orangey I would send composing of the whispering Angel which is a bit more pinky on the nose is quite hard to put a finger on now what uh what it smells like but I want to say stone fruit so Peach bit more lemon as well not really getting any like floral notes or minerality so yeah high on acidity so I would say high acidity and definitely you’re getting that kind of lemon um Peach um but yeah very very enjoyable and the Finish is actually probably kind of medium to long I feel that it’s probably has a slightly longer finish than the whispering Angel so yeah very very enjoyable for 749 that’s very good in terms of value score I’m going to score Whispering Angel a seven out of 10 I found it really difficult to score this one and probably the most difficult one I’ve had to score so far on this channel because it is a lovely Rosé loads of different flavors however I just think the price tag is very high 21 for a bottle of Rosé is for me I think you know very expensive however it is a nice Rosé um on the other hand the little one which is esy rosé which is $7.49 just a fraction pretty much of of the price um is also a lovely Ros and I’m going to score this one as 7.5 out of 10 because I think for the money it’s really worth uh really worth buying it has less kind of layers of flavors than Whispering Angel it’s less kind of fru it’s got less minerality um so slightly less interesting in terms of taste profile but uh yeah I think very enjoyable and and great for the price in terms of of pairing with Ros I just think it’s really nice by itself without any food but also it goes really well with you know a nice salad uh or even you know just chicken uh on the barbecue thank you very much for watching my Channel today please uh press the Press like share the video with your
