Anthony’s Oyster Slurp
welcome back to Ido today anon’s just
reopened its oyster bar for the season
the Highlight is freshly shucked oysters
and they also feature live music
cornhole casual dining and more this
first come first serve option in
downtown boisee is perfect for the
spring and summer foodie including the
opportunity to partake in an oyster

slurp Chef we are here at Oyster Bar it
is right off of
is the season meaning that oysters are
in season and this is a great chance for
people to come on out here and either
try oysters or F fill their belly on
something that they love um let’s talk
about where the oysters come from okay
well we’ll start with the Anthony’s
oysters these are grown specifically for
Anthony’s restaurants um from Johnson
and gunstone down in Discovery Bay okay
um you can only find them here at
Anthony’s Restaurant little different
flavor profile uh you’ll get like a
honeydew note oh I never knew oysters
had notes so it’s kind of like a glass
of wine then right yeah it’s just like
wine oysters are just like wine uh every
Varity is different flavor profiles also
depends on your palette as well and what
do we have right here this is our Indigo
oyster um it’s from the northern Hood
Canal and um it’s kind of like a Bay
Water Suite medium salinity both of
these are Pacific oysters okay got it
but what about these guys over here this
is our training wheel oyer oyster this
is the Kumamoto so that’s the one I
would try then training wheel this is a
very good starter oyster low salinity
and has like citrus notes in it okay
citrusy I like that all right so oyster
experience is not the same right so each
oyster is different different levels of
salinity uh different flavor profiles
based on where they come from now I have
to admit I know we’re at the oyster bar
but there may be some people that kind
of need to tiptoe into oysters do you
have anything else available here other
than oysters we sure do let me show you
okay let’s go so we have our panko
breaded fish and chips over there uh
comes with french fries and our Asian
sloth and then we have a side of fries
and bubbly we have dungeon is crab half
pound stay with oysters oyster taco and
an oyster Burger love that and I’m
loving to the beverage and food pairing
the fries and bubbly that’s a dream
pairing in my my mind as mentioned
earlier too you know you’re right off of
jumps you’re at a gorgeous location you
have great patio setting uh it’s first
come first serve though right correct
okay so you got to make sure that you
get down here you have to get down here
quick yes you do to make sure you can
pull up to the table speaking of pulling
up to the table as well you have oyster
slurps on Fridays Friday nights at 5:00
in the Oyster Bar in the Oyster Bar all
right I have to admit an oyster slurp is
something that’s kind of new to me uh so
I have to pull in an expert Cody you’re
the general manager here at the Oyster
Bar what is an oyster slurp so an oyster
slurp uh 5:00 every Friday we have
contestants from you know 3: to 10 or 12
uh they get a dozen oysters they get to
set them up however they’d like cocktail
sauce cucumber Minette lemon juice Etc
and then they it’s a competition it’s a
speed competition on how fast you can
suck up 12 oysters without the use of
your hands okay and then do you just get
bragging right afterwards uh no so
there’s always going to be some kind of
incentive uh generally speaking for when
we do them in house it’s a dinner for
two uh all participants will get an app
card or some oh fantastic all right well
how does one eat an oyster I suppose
we’re going to do one of these okay
excellent dish up some cocktail here
give myself something else to taste and
again without the use of my hands
oh and that is how it is done true
