Purchased black denim upholstery fabric from Joanns. Still can’t believe that painting my brown kitchen cabinets white gave such a huge transformation! Another Trash to treasure!

Hey what’s up you guys it’s your girl maish Renee and welcome to my Channel today I’m going to be showing you how I re poster my kitchen chairs I bought this really amazing set for only $100 you guys it’s an Ashley Furniture set which is a really nice pricey you know

They’re a good brand and I got lucky you guys and I found it online and it was only $100 she only wanted $1100 for you guys she was asking for $200 and like I offered her $100 and she was like yes if you can come get it today and so it

Worked out perfect you guys so I have this really nice table that I’ve done over so you can check the videos for that I re um painted it I sanded it did all the good stuff it looks really good and it came with five chairs it was six

Chairs but the six chair was a little bit beat up from like she had like a dog and that was his chew toy so I didn’t even want to bother with that one but I have five chairs and I’m going to reap Pooler all of them and just make them go

With the whole Decor since I did the whole makeover on my kitchen still in process but look let’s go ahead and get this done okay I’m going to show you guys really quick how I re poer these chairs this is so simple you guys I took off the cushions off of the seats

They’re still in really great shape I mean these could be just shampooed and they would be just fine because they’re really not they’re not in bad shape at all just need a little cleaning but since I’m going with my decor and I want to change it and just give it a total

Makeover I’m going with a whole different color I’m going to go with black and it looks really good it’s almost like a denim looking black it looks really nice it’s a really good thick fabric it’s for upholstery so it’s going to work perfect I got this it’s at

Joann’s and I got 2 and 1/2 yards of this fabric it’s you know they fold it so you get more than you need you know and so therefore this is going to work work perfect for me I only need 2 and 1/2 yards I have five chair

This is this 2 and 1/2 yards would actually work for six chairs but it’s going to be perfect you guys so all you’re going to need is your fabric depending on how many chairs you need um I suggest you go ahead and measure I measured mine so you need to take

Measure when I measured mine they were 19 and 1 half I think it was okay so they were 19 and 1/2 and I just gave it an extra 3 in on each side just to give me more space because you want to be able to fold over over

And it was the same on the other side as well it was 18 and so I just went 25 I just estimated that it was 25 by 25 and that actually worked perfect I have one already pre-cut so I’ll show you guys there it is right there and just

Saying if I was going to go over it’s perfect I have plenty of space look at that so that’s plenty of space to pull it nice and tight and get it on there and so I have plenty of room you guys so all you’ll need to do this

Real poolery is that you’re going to need some fabric of your choice I definitely recommend that you get something that’s for Fab that’s for furniture reholstering things like that very nice it’s going to get a lot of wear and tear on it so um this is going

To work and I’ve used a similar fabric like this before and it lasted forever I mean it was great I made like a little stool with it you also need your measur your tape measurer um or a ruler something just so you can go ahead and

Measure with you need you need some good scissors I need to upgrade my scissors but you need some good scissors staple gun you got to get a staple gun you guys and um a marker so you can be able to mark your spot where you need to cut once you measure it Mark

Your spot so it’s easier for you to go ahead and cut it and I mean that’s all you need you guys and I mean just like a short amount of time it’s going to be done so let me just show you really quick because I’m super excited to get

This done you guys the cheairs have came out really nice um I I paint them I primed them and painted them and did all that good stuff and now they’re ready for their cushions so I’ll just go ahead and get these cut to match what I already

Have and this is what I did just so you kind of like can get an idea as well just to make sure you want to make sure you got the right size measurements so kind of just do like a little a little pull test okay just like kind of little estimate

Little pinch right there boom there you go that’s literally all I do take your marker mark your little Edge I us like to mark on this side because it’s it’s you know lighter it tends to be lighter there so you have an idea and then you just go ahead and cut straight through

You guys if you want to go ahead and measure it you can can do that as well and then just you know get your Cuts like that I estimated mine to be 25 so yeah 25 is good 24 actually would be fine but 25 is good and I just take that all the

Way and you can write that down and go with that as well so let’s go ahead and get these cut and then get them on you guys PR my little more And then I’m going to go ahead and divide those two because like I said when you buy your fabric it’s always folded so I have a whole another size so this is two chairs right here already that’s two cushions right there so so that’s why I only need 2 and 1/2

Yards and for those that don’t know um a yard is 36 in so that’ll give you an idea of how much you need as well if you’re doing your measurements so there we go another good Square so that’s three right there and let me cut one more because I

Already actually already did one of the chair already and it came out really good okay so let’s see take one of These and it doesn’t need to be a perfect cut but you do want to make sure you have enough because you’re going to just pull it anyway so it doesn’t need to be a perfect cut Okay and this fabric you guys because you know if you go to like certain places like Joann’s and Michael’s and other little fabric stores you may have sometime they have coupons you guys don’t slip on the coupons so I had a 50% off coupon you guys so I literally only

Spent like I think it was like 25 $27 for this fabric you guys with my coupon marked it down it’s like $27 that was a total win you guys I didn’t even mind if I had to spend like 60 bucks for this because it’s really good Fabric and it’s like I mean it’s

More than it’s more than I need but I mean $27 you guys don’t sleep on them coupons you guys look I’m always always downloading my coupons and screenshotting them so I’m ready to go in that store and get them deals so I mean I mean Super budget friendly you

Guys so I have an extra one because I did get five chairs so if I get lucky and I’m looking online and I see someone selling this a set of chairs or something like that that looks exactly like that one or let’s better yet let’s

Say that goes with that set or if I want to go to the store and just buy that one chair then I have it you know what I’m saying but five is enough because we’re definitely um I’m definitely only using the smaller form of the table I’m not

Going to be using the leaf unless we’re like doing something really big so this is perfect all right there’s our fabric now let’s get to let’s put it on it’s that simple you guys make sure I got the right one first before I put that up cuz I do have the smaller side

Right okay so just get them all ready one Two okay this is my extra fabric use it for something I never throw my fabric away one Two three okay you guys let’s go ahead and get these wrapped up up and depending on the fabric that you buy make sure you’re on the right side you guys okay so here we go let’s get these things doled up and so you just want to make sure that you’re

Pulling your Corners really tight your fabric really tight make sure you have it lined up right before you get to snapping and pulling Y’all yes okay so I like this slide better okay just making sure I have enough to pull it really tight on both sides okay and so once you have it how you want it guys see that yes I to just start like in the middle just to get that first grip going pull

It tight watch your fingers pow okay now we’re going and you’ll just keep on just pulling keeping it nice and neat tight it’s already taking on the shape very important to keep it tight your fabric pull tight just show you guys so far look at that so see so far so good you

Guys just keep it tight and when you get to the corners you want to pull them tight and just kind of be mindful to keep it smooth as you can Okay you’ll See just pulling it tight and trying to keep it nice and neat it’s okay if you have like a little flap just make the flap really Neat can you see that right and then you do the same thing over here but I’ll work my way around let’s get this tight first and just keep it going Is It’s looking really good you Guys And you guys comment below I mean we need to get to know each other right cuz right now we are families we are besties so you guys comment below let me me know what’s the coolest DIY you’ve ever done or if you’ve never done a DIY just let

The old fabric it was no need to do that look it’s extra extra cushion it’s no need to do that because they weren’t like damaged they weren’t in bad shape or anything like that so why even waste the time of doing all that this is not like a makeover because something is
