what i ate in a day ~
breakfast — eggs benedict
This is my favorite dish to order at brunch, but did you know how simple and easy it is to make at home? The hollandaise sauce is made by slowly whisking in the melted butter into egg yolks and lemon juice. Then seasoned to taste with salt — only 4 ingredients! I added french butter to english muffins along with proscuitto and smoked salmon. Then topped it with a poached egg and the hollandaise sauce.
lunch — uni pasta with @imperiacaviar
Uni pasta is also one of my favorite foods! You’ll always end up spending $30+ for a bowl at the restaurant, but it’s much cheaper (and tastier) making it at home. Start by boiling the pasta and cooking a few minutes before it reaches al dente. Add olive oil and crushed garlic to a pan, along with the undercooked pasta. Add a little pasta water, cream and parmesan cheese until you reach the right consistency. Then add in the uni paste and mix. Garnish with more uni, caviar and scallions.
dinner — steak + oysters with uni & caviar
Liberally season your steak with salt and pepper and cook to your preferred doneness. There’s a lot of leftover flavor in the pan, so don’t waste it. Use it to cook veggies of your choice — I used corn. Then I shucked oysters and topped it with uni, caviar and a squeeze of lemon.
Here’s what I eat in a day cooking my favorite fancy restaurant meals so one of my favorite things to order at brunch is eggs benedict I started with my Holliday sauce of egg yolks lemon juice and melted butter all you do is slightly was skin the melted butter until you get
A slightly thick consistency and on one side I’m adding pido and then to the other I’m adding smoked salmon I was very happy with how this turned out especially since it was my first time making this for lunch I’m making oi pasta I’m cooking the pasta slightly
Underdone and then I’m adding olive oil and garlic to a pan add the pasta a little pasta water and cream along with lots of Parmesan cheese and then when you get the right consistency add in the Blended oi I was very happy with how I plated this and honestly tast it even
Better than the restaurants since I made it exactly how I like it then for dinner I have this New York ship steak that I’m seasoning very liberally on both sides and then when it’s done there’s a lot of flavor left over in that pan so do not
Waste it and instead use it to cook your veggies I’m also Shing oysters to pair with my steak and topping it with my favorite combination which is caviar oi and a few drops of lemon juice
