Great Grandmas Baked French Onion Soup
2 Spoons Butter(or use Olive Oil)
3-4 Onions sliced
Salt
Pepper
4 – 6 cups good beef stock (or veg stock)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Melt butter in pot. Low fry onions until carmelized. Don’t rush the onions.season with salt and pepper to taste. Add Stock and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer slowly for 30-45 minutes.
Good served in bowls topped with circles of toast and sprinkled with grated cheese. Broil to brown cheese & serve
