Come with us, in this video, on a culinary adventure, at Michelin starred restaurant, JAN, in Nice France. It was one of the most wonderful meals we’ve ever had….almost the most expensive, ever, but for sure unique, delicious and exciting!

Hi! I’m An Scott. I’m a happily retired 70 year old woman with my “golden years” on the horizon, living the “good life”, whatever that is on any given day, with my fun husband Jeff, and our “bossy” little Yorkie, Bella.
In just a few months, in April, 2024, when Jeff retires, we are moving from SW Florida, in the good old USA to Nice, France to live out our “golden years” on the sunny Mediterranean coast of southern France, in Nice France.
Moving from the USA to a foreign country is no small “project”. Through my videos, we’ll be taking you through the process, sharing the steps, talking about what we’ve learned and the ups and the downs.
SUBSCRIBE, FOR FREE, to my channel and as we progress through the steps of doing that, you’ll be able to follow along through each stage of our preparation and then catch up with us, as we settle in to our new life. We might even have some information you’re going to need if you’re also planning a move to France (or the EU)
For now, come with us as we embrace our days and nights living everyday as though there is no tomorrow.

This moment can we stay here forever I’m loving this moment here so it’s just starting to rain and we have arrived at the Port area this is at the end of the tram 2 line so we’re heading to a restaurant for dinner this evening and on unfortunately it’s raining
Again all of the restaurants on this street have these enclosures where you can sit under cover just have a drink cocktail of course Jeff is standing right in my picture so we’re not going to see Anything [Applause] So here you are an out of the rain finally at the restaurant yes There and this is a little I guess a Mo B from the chef with French caviar and bu Our next course is Bill Tong which is an African snack made of marinated and seasoned air dried meat usually beat for game and it’s got little vanilla on top it looks delicious and you eat it with your Hand Do you like it great Be There a little potato C hang got Hiding so the whole idea is to eat the salad as well as to drink the broth so that you can get all the flavors coming [Laughter] together so Jeff yes I noticed you ate all of the raw tuna I am here experiencing things outside of my experience love I’m eating things from South Africa I didn’t even know lived and it is excellent all right so this is our Chef signature dish call it the white Canan
Because it looks like a flow from the bottom we have the fish of the day that’s this W fish it’s a comped by muscles a br of winter vegetables as well as CH then on top of that we have some fro and apple as well as the T Deo
Cheese in the middle we have a bread T sh from South Africa called the moik so it’s a little bit of a sweet bread with st in it and then we round off the dish with Breo of M If you look very closely you can see the smoke coming On Is this beautiful This is a traditional dish from South Africa called you have it in two different ways the classic traditional bti in the middle there in your PL it’s also a bouti in a deconstructed way in both versions you find with eggs almonds and res in the plate you find also a body
Result with some confit pears I will serve you now with a sweet Truffles voila voila thank you over there Step Up Okay And what do you think of this room Jeffrey I am having the almonds and a little bit of bread and a small cube of cheese because the meal has been so delicious I’m just about full no no no don’t say that there’s more to come no more to come this is

I have to say, dear Ann and Jeff that I enjoyed watching and imagining the taste of every single bite of your meal. What
a great experience! The food presentation was something out of a gourmet magazine and the ambiance looked very welcoming and charming. I got a kick out of you being escorted to Maria’s restaurant across the street for the “Cheese Course.” It seemed like you were taking part in a theatre piece. Maria’s place was so beautifully decorated. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing this experience with us.
Wow! Oh boy… Expensive! At least you enjoyed yourselves!
How long should I enter France after receiving a French long stay visa? Do I need to arrive in France within 1 month? Or should it arrive within 2 months?
Is there a set period?
