Hello so I have just realized as I was editing this video that it’s going to come out tomorrow and tomorrow is Christmas day and this is really not a Christmasy video in any way so I thought i’ just do a disclaimer at the beginning here to um explain why that is basically

Home uh but what I thought I could do to make this video just a bit more christmy is at the end I will show you guys uh what I’m up to here and how I’m spending Christmas here you can see I’ve got a few little decorations up and uh maybe a

Little glimpse of the Christmas circus so uh there can be a christmy touch to this video um but first I’m going to show you what I filmed a few weeks ago at aine and then at the end we’ll we’ll do that little Christmas moment um anyway here we go his

Flashback to a few weeks ago good morning it is a slightly chilly morning here at everine I’m in the living room I’m waiting for my coffee to make I need coffee any coffee now um anyway today is going to be a busy day as usual I say that every

Morning it’s it’s always a busy day it’s another busy day because today I would like to start work on on the future dining room on the first floor so basically the first thing that needs to get done in the dining room is we need to put up uh the paintable wallpaper on

All of the walls to cover the texture of the walls because it’s that awful awful the bane of my existence spray concrete that has a really concrete texture oh it’s is bad the other thing that needs to happen in there today is there there’s a big cabinet full of

Stuff and I haven’t really looked at what’s in there yet I literally just open the door i’ got too many other things to do to stuff but today is the day we’re dig stuff see what’s in there and I’m going to take it all out so that we’re ready

To move that cabinet around as the work continues around the walls cuz obviously we’re going have to get behind that cabinet some so let’s get to it I’ll just I’ll just quickly show you what the situation is down there right now okay here is the future dining room

As we move downstairs I’m so excited to get to work in here because it’s the first time this room has been empty enough to actually work in uh we’re going to start with the walls get that paintable wallpaper up cover up this horrible concrete oh God I hate it um

And get painting then we’re going to move to probably uh the floor after that the floor needs to come last I’ve learned that the hard way and several other rooms and we need to get the cabinet out of here and get the new furniture in

So a lot of you guys wrote comments the last time I did wallpaper talking about how my wallpaper will stick better if I use a more liquid glue solution so I’m trying that it’s really scary my natural instinct says that like if you want glue to be stronger you

Should make it thicker uh but I’m I’m going to go with this it does feel very was very very but uh we will see how this goes I guess maybe I’ll do like one test and let that kind of dry see how it feels and then do the other walls I have

To move furniture between each wall anyway so you know why not another thing I did before which might have been a stupid mistake was that I put the glue powder in the bucket and then put the water on and this time I put the water in the bucket first and mixed in the

Glue powder and I think that’s working a lot better maybe that was a really dumb way to do it the first time okay I put on another jumper inside out that’s what this is It’s the tag and I put up my hair to keep the wallpaper glue out of

My hair and I’ve kind of become like a a 50s beat neck poet for this job part of me wants like improvise a beatnick poem about wallpaper but then a bigger part of me is like things on the internet live forever so that’s that’s not going to happen So also I know a lot of you guys um commented about painting the wall with the wallpaper glue versus painting the paper with the wallpaper glue and I I for for those of you who are on team paint the paper you may well be right I don’t know if it’s better to

Paint the paper but I have tried painting the paper in the past and it just filled my life with sadness because like here’s this giant piece of paper covered in glue that you have to like somehow manage to get onto the wall in the correct placement and I maybe that

Works better but like I can’t go back that life you guys I can’t do it so I’m just going to we’re going to do the test with the the glue on the wall um also if you are seeing like drops of glue fall off of my brush and me do nothing to

Clean them up do not panic because this whole room is covered in carpet and the carpet’s going to go because one thing I have very much learned while working on this house is do the floor last do the floor way after everything else in the room is done

I’ just like to take a moment here to say that if you or anyone you know or if anyone you don’t know but happen to hear about uh is considering putting up any kind of textured wall service for the love of God please don’t do

That oh my God like I’m sure there are situations in which they look nice but covering them up she said as she couldn’t open up the paintable wallpaper is just a complete freaking nightmare and even like with this wallpaper it’s not 100% covering the texture like I think to actually cover

The texture we would have to like drywall over it or some something really drastic and it is just don’t do it just don’t do it just don’t do it make a good choice don’t do it One piece is up now I just have to do that about 150 more times oh guys don’t do textured walls don’t do it don’t do it I’m I oh my God that was a workout I I forgot how much of a workout uh putting wallpaper up is because I think going up and down the ladder like adds up very quickly and also just lifting the paper which is quite heavy with my arms and like holding my arms up

To cut things I’m like my shoulders are burning and I feel like my arms are pretty fit because I am a acrobat but I’m also sweating like is not warm in here but I am like sweating so I’ve stripped down to only three layers of jumpers anyway besides

The point I finished this wall yay we’ve got one wall done and then I also did that part above the windows and that part above the fireplace so I would say because crucial crucial information here we do not have to do this wall this wall behind the cabinet is not textured

It is just wood for reasons I don’t know why um so that means that’s all that’s left to wallpaper is uh this window Nook and uh this wall so I’m going to say we’re probably about 75% of the way through wallpapering in this area can you see

The you can see the zipper of my second jumper under here sexy winter is so sexy um anyway uh that’s where we are so I’m going to take a break now uh I’m going to eat something I’m going to do a little aial rehearsal but before I do

That I am just going to go through that cabinet and look at taking some stuff out seeing what’s in there and just kind of generally uh emptying it to prepare it for being moved so I can I can get around behind it I also just want to

Show you guys that this room has extra large window over here and the view out of it is another stunner like there there’s just literally not even one room in this house that has a mediocre view like every view is gorgeous I don’t know why those dogs are

Going crazy though there’s a bunch of dogs out there that are really unhappy about something or may be really happy it’s hard to tell with dogs also look at the grape Vines they’ve gone golden and they’re so beautiful cherry tree is pretty impressive too I love I love this view

God I love this view so much I’ve literally stripped down to a T-shirt and the windows open that’s how warm I got doing the wallpaper it’s ridiculous anyway let’s crack open this cabinet um I did like literally do that just to see if there was stuff in it before but I

Have not looked at what is in it so this is as much of a surprise to me as it is to you but it has to be emptied out so we can move it okay my first impression is that there’s not as much stuff as I thought

There was so that’s that is a good thing very happy uh also the the first thing that grabs my eye what is this why why is there it’s a it’s a picture and it is a pig that is dressed as a chef and he has a wine bottle uh

And he’s sitting on the back of the picture um this is one of many objects in this house that I look at and I go why do I own this he’s kind of cute though I actually in a weird way I do really like this that’s kind of adorable and kitchy

In like a a way that really evokes this region of France uh I kind of like him all right so I put him to go upstairs what else is happening in here um oh is this I think these are salt and pepper shakers let’s see don’t want to break oh

No maybe it’s like a bottle so maybe they’re for olive oil like olive oil and vinegar um I like them too they’re not like the style that I would usually go for but I quite I think it’s cute and I like the little carry thing that they’re on we’ve got a

Juicer and some plates I keep hitting that by the way this chandel that I keep hitting with my head is uh going to be like over where the dining room table will be so like the walking into the chandelier with your face is going to cease to be a

Problem at some point got a plate from Ken oh this one’s got like a Makers Mark on it that’s nice okay um is this one of those like soda water things where you shake it and spray or something like that there’s something like making cocktails where you like use this for

Salzer is that a thing comment if you know what I do with this this is cute got is it a teapot I I feel like maybe it’s like a Moroccan teapot maybe it’s for mint tea or something like that cuz I feel like I did see something similar

To this when I worked in Morocco once uh this is like the most uninformed antique show this like Antiques Road show if the experts like had no idea what they’re talking about this is cool this is this it says something on the bottom original Theos I can’t not sure if this is a

Cocktail shaker or if it’s a thermos it feels quite chunky maybe it is a thermos I don’t think it’s a cocktail shaker I think it’s a thermos and it’s got like special something happening inside that’s cool I like that I will be using that after it gets a thorough

Wash okay here’s a serious question is someone making meth why have I got like a chemistry set like okay okay I mean this looks like it could be decorative or like a vase uh this looks a lot more suspicious that’s quite cool oh I think this is for camping okay

This is quite cool um you got this little pot and then this part that goes on top of it and the oh it’s a cof coffee maker I think I think it’s a coffee maker cuz if you look inside here I think you put the coffee in that and then you boil the

Water using the I don’t know why wouldn’t you just boil the water in the pot I think it’s a coffee maker I don’t know how it works if you know how to you make coffee but this looks like I think this is a thing that you can use for camping or

For like making coffee on the stove any clues any thoughts anybody this is a thing this looks quite chunky oh this is this is another pu um I found one of these already actually in this room um PAB is uh bin or TR trash bin for the table and I

Think that uh what that is is like something to put like bones or like shells if you’re eating muscles or Olive pits or something like that inside like as you eat them which I I don’t love this concept of here’s a pot that had a bunch of people’s like

Chicken bones in it so this may be a thing that goes I don’t know it’s it’s kind of ridiculous I know it’s ridiculous but it just kind of makes me feel a bit WGY I see birds there a a decorative bird plate and some decorative flower

Plates those are kind of cool um Little Flower plates the birds are kind of cute cute I don’t know there’s like a spring on the back of it I guess that’s for hanging it Somehow I’ve got a whole there’s a whole set of what looks like hand painted bull cups oh it says Toledo on the bottom so maybe someone bought these at like a bull fighting Place into too ring whole fighting area Ring shop thing um what do you call a gift shop

For a bull fighting rink um oh it’s a sanguino to too um so they’re pretty they’re interesting I uh personally don’t really like the concept of bull fighting so these might be a go but maybe there’s somebody who will appreciate them uh maybe I’ll see if the antique shop wants

Them this is cute uh I don’t know what it is um there’s a oh it’s a thermometer it does say thermometer yeah you should have probably sorted that one out I think it works because this says I don’t know if you can see it says 20° right

Now and that’s about what it is Centigrade not Fahrenheit I would I would die if it was 20° fenhe in this room but it’s 20 about 20° centigrade in this room I think um so it’s got these little hooks as well I don’t know what those could be used for but it’s a

Little leaf it’s kind of cute like it what is left in here we’ve got oh I think this is another coffee maker of some sort or tea maybe this is I mean it’s a obviously it’s a teapot yes um but maybe it’s specifically for making tea because

This looks like something you could put your tea leaves in and then pour the water through I need to do some research about like rustic tea and coffee items okay this is quite cute because I I really like the concept of these little things they are um salt and

Pepper but you just put loose salt and pepper and they normally come with like a little tiny spoon that you Ed to dispense your salt and pepper and I actually almost bought one of these a couple weeks ago so yay that’s a good find I’m very happy with that I don’t

Know what this is it’s got like holes in it is it for candles no they’re too they’re really close together for candles or maybe it’s for like pens uh I don’t know I don’t know what that is but it’s it’s pretty it’s made out of glass that is some sort of

Little is it for camping I don’t know there’s a set of these uh metal pots so it’s not super useful because I have an induction stove top so it won’t work with these but uh could be useful for camping or something along those lines I think that’s about it um there’s one

More thing I want to have a look at and it’s there’s a cardboard box underneath the furniture and I just want to see what is in that box all right we’ve got couple of boxes and okay first one this looks like legs for a piece of furniture which could be useful if I

Want to make something taller or change the legs because these are these are pretty tall as far as this type of furniture leg goes there’s also some Wheels also could be useful cool uh let’s see what’s in this box ah four rules of drawer lining

Great I mean I I actually never use dra drawer lining because like my life is not that together but um maybe I should start anyway that is seems to be all of the Mysteries of the oh the like lining paper of here and this is quite nice um The Mysteries of

The the big cabinet so I’ll just finish taking the rest of the stuff upstairs and uh I guess go out and do some aerial [Applause] Training Okay Ariel training’s got a little bit off the rails because we got a special visitor hi Simba hi oh do you want to participate you came over to visit you’re so cute I just looked up and some’s walking across the garden going meow meow meow love me well you can come

Visit whenever you want because you are a cutie pie oh yes what a good kitty hey excuse me sir excuse me I just said you’re a good kitty and then you bit me you’re still a good kitty I still love you okay cut back to today Christmas Eve um

So basically I’m just getting ready to go to the circus I’ve got my little hotel room that I’m staying in here and uh we have one show at the circus today which is quite early which is very nice um so quickly I’ll just show you around

My hotel room and then let’s head to the circus we’ve got some little presents probably open those later this evening I’m going to do a nice um SK not Skype it’s not Skype anymore it’s Zoom now a nice Zoom with uh my parents with laurance that’s nice my little Christmas ornament

Chandelier that I made because you know I have to have a chandelier even if it’s improvised Christmas ornaments and then we got my little Christmas lights at the window and this little LED lantern that I bought and my favorite chocolates that you cannot buy in France so I’m just

Snarfing these as much as possible um to bees delicious yep so that’s the little Christmasy setup I’ve got going on here and let’s head to the circus where things are much more Christmasy the Christmas at the circus is Intense The show is over and I’m back at the hotel it was a really nice show today it was a very nice audience they had a lot of good energy it was it’s quite fun but uh I’m about to hop in the shower and scrub all this off my face uh such a

Good feeling when you take off show makeup it’s the best thing ever uh and I’m going to hop on zoom and have Christmas with the helpers and then with laurant and yeah just have a a nice little evening of christmy time um I hope you guys are all having a lovely
