In this video, we uncork the enchanting world of Pacific Star Winery, where the wines meet the waves and every sip tells a tale. We embark on a journey to this hidden gem nestled just 20 minutes north of Fort Bragg. Perched on the cliffs, Pacific Star Winery boasts breathtaking coastal views, creating the perfect backdrop for your wine-tasting adventure. For over 33 years, this winery has been crafting table wines from the heritage vineyards of Mendocino County. Whale watching, picnic grounds, events, and weddings—this place has it all! The imposing redwood and stone barn structure, strategically placed on the cliffside, stands resilient against the crashing waves. The small and dedicated team behind Pacific Star Winery is ready to assist visitors with information, personal recommendations, and perfect pairings. Snack on delectable treats as you indulge in the highest quality grapes, open-top fermenters, and a portable grape receiving system that allows for small-lot premium winemaking with meticulous attention to detail. Inside, the cellar is a symphony of French, Hungarian, and American oak barrels, with specialty equipment tailored for handcrafted winemaking. Witness the magic unfold as the cellar captures the essence of the Pacific—waves crashing into sea caves beneath, naturally filtering the wine from its sediment. The sea air deposits salt on barrels, accelerating osmosis and creating wines that are truly viscous and dense. Let’s raise a glass to a sentimental favorite, Dad’s Daily Red—an homage to the California heritage blends of the ’50s and ’60s. This unique blend of Carignane, Charbono, and Petite Sirah, with a touch of hearty Zinfandel, is a tribute to Sally’s dad, Fred. Dad’s Daily Red has become a beloved classic, aging beautifully and proudly standing tall. If you’re in the area, it’s well worth a stop by for a memorable seaside wine tasting experience at Pacific Star Winery. Cheers! 🌟

Phew! We made it! That was a lot of corners, but a really fun drive. Glad I don’t have to do it every day, but it’s always a treat to drive down that portion of the coastal highway Number 1. We have arrived here, We are right between Westport, just north of Fort Bragg

In Mendocino County. We have gone from Humboldt down into Mendocino. And after that drive, we are now out here at Pacific Star Winery. One of the most scenic wineries that you will ever visit. Not because they have the rolling vineyards like

You might think in Tuscany, but because they’re right here on the coast and they have all these beautiful plateaus here and sea caves. There’s like a loud crashing behind me because there’s actually some sea caves right underneath where we’re standing right now.

And you can just see down the coastline for miles and miles. So it’s an amazing place to unwind after a lot of corners on that trip. Have a little wine and take a load off. Not only is the view spectacular, it’s a good way to have some good wine from Mendocino County.

And one of their most popular wines is Dad’s Red, which was named after her father. So, of course, being a little nostalgic that I am, we always want to come try the Dad’s Red each year and see how she’s put that blend together year after year to not only showcase the wonderful

Northern California wine, but to also pay homage to her father. I’m not going to cry. It’s just a good time to decompress, Get a great view of the ocean and just enjoy some wonderful northern California Mendocino County wines.
