Everyone welcome to the show of the perfect pair I’m Omar – three years I’m the owner of fratello cigars ex-nasa employee big time world traveler used to go fishing at Oh welcome to the perfect This cigar has a lot of dry fruit notes it’s got some creaminess to the cigar it’s got a lot of flavor anything I stole him insane This is going to be an experience that we continue to share we’ll continue to expose this this imperfect In perfect pairings Bordeaux France when I first found out that my next episode of the perfect pairings was going to be in France I almost giggled as I knew Bordeaux is where I wanted to be one country and known for their incredible red blends visiting this place was high on my
Bucket list we made our way to the centimeter region of Bordeaux the landscapes in city centre here are truly magical and breathtaking it almost feels like this place was [ __ ] time with the obvious flares of modern life the history of this city dates back to prehistoric times with fascinated
Romanesque churches and ruins threshing through its narrow streets Romans planted vineyards in what was later going to become Saint Emilion guys welcome to this episode of imperfect pairing I made it to France not just any part of France guys I’m in Bordeaux region wine country beautiful beautiful incredible Reds
Beautiful Merlot beautiful cap francs I’ve been walking around all over the city experiencing a little bit of the the pleasures of the city has to offer especially when it comes to that amazing grape so I am I’m in a very special place right now doing this episode of
Imperfect parents guys because I’m at a Gliese mono leap right here in the background my shoe if you guys can see it very well but it is gorgeous it was built in the 12th century it’s it’s an it’s a truly a magical place the way I
See it because it does bring in a lot of emotions and you can see that people it’s a very calm city people are just walking around and join wine and join lives this episode of a perfect pairings guys we’re gonna be doing and pairing with something very unique that I was
Able to find I was able to find this incredible white wine from the st. emilion region of France I’m gonna tell you this it’s only five thousand-plus bottle production very very very very small when I saw this I was blown away cuz I you know you just don’t find it
And so not in my local wines not in my local wine shops or anything like that it’s more of a of a product that is much more available here that you will find it even in other parts of friends over I can’t wait to try this out I’m gonna
Enjoy this right now I’m gonna pair this with the fratello the original for double boxer huge fan of this blend guys this is the different solder on my line he’s got Anamika I wanna bono rapper with tobacco from Peru on the filler that tends to be very sweet both on the
Palate and on the nose and what makes this tobacco so special has a lot to do with the floral and sweetness of the tobacco so when you’re smoking this cigar by yourself and you’re not pairing it with anything else this cigar right here is very very very special so I’m
Gonna be pairing it with this because again it’s something that is very rare to find I could have been pairing it with another premier Grand Cru you know Grand Cru run cook let’s say or anything like that but this is the kind of wine that I believe would go immensely well
With what I’m trying to do so let’s light this puppy up and see what we got Usually on the light guys when we’re lighting up this to go right off the bat you have to let it sit for a little bit okay you cannot just immediately make up your mind that this is gonna be a good cigar up at cigar you can tell immediately you know what
You know flavor profile in terms of the strength of the tobacco but you have to let it sit for a little bit so that you can try and experience a little bit more of some of the flavor some of the flavors that this cigar is going to be
Able to deliver for you for your power so I’m gonna tell you guys a little bit about this white wine this is the Chateau host ends pecan it’s a ground being devoted all its again when when this gentleman showed it to me earlier on as I was doing some tastings around
Town I I was incredibly impressed by the nose I was incredibly impressed but by the flavor profile that was delivering in the palate as well so here’s something unique guys that you probably get in your own if you ever find a white wine that says st. Emilion
On the label run away is probably a fake this wine was literally produced on the border right outside same basically region soft we’re talking literally huh it was a wall there was a wall dividing both places but it was literally grown right outside of the border about Sammy
Mignon and so if you’re ever see a white wine it says sending really on runaway kisses probably so we’re gonna pour this body you know this bad boy up so don’t mind if I do can on being able to though I’m gonna be enjoying this
Which I told them demo CL and it truly is it truly is a hard find especially when it comes to getting any production outside of the send I mean young guys is mostly known for the you know for red wines okay we’re talking about law we’re talking Cabernet Franc for cotton
Cabernet Sauvignon okay so when you’re looking around to come into sending lyon in the region of bordeaux you’re gonna be experiencing mostly red wines like heavy red wines wines are great for you know dot confit you go out wines that are great for for for a beautiful meal of steaks and whatnot
You tell you right now what’s incredible about this wine right off the when you smell the wine it has the sweetness that is incredible guys incredible we’re talking you’re getting you’re getting honeycomb you’re getting you’re getting molasses you’re getting even there’s even some nuttiness and some some some
Minerals on the nose of this like right at the bat what’s incredible about it is that as you try it after you’ve done this it’s just literally there’s no sweetness it’s a dry white wine that’s very unique it doesn’t have that heaviness on it it’s just it’s just it’s
Just very pleasant to enjoy I have had a hard time trying to find a place here where I can just open up a bottle of a beautiful Bordeaux or beautiful and just enjoying it by itself that you if some of these French wines and some of these reunions are meant for
You know enjoying a bottle with food with dog with cheeses with Vermont with some of these things that make it very unique so So that was interesting mmm this wine wasn’t too too acidic for me right at the back but with the combination with the cigar it turned acidic like that very interesting you know there was there’s not a whole lot of sweetness that I’m picking out up out
Of that I’m picking up more of that sweetness out of this particular cigar because the sweetness and the floral on the cigar is so present this might be a heavier of heavier smoke that what this one probably deserves but still I think it’s very very unique I’m gonna give it
A try because again why not right this wine you know went from very very low acidity to a very high six seven acidity with the combination of this which I personally appreciate this anything that changes guys again this is what imperfect parents are all about it’s about finding things in your wine
Finding things in your food and cigars finding things in your in your cheese finding things in your your polygraph I mean things in different stuff that will enhance flavors somewhere of somehow with a drink or anything else so let’s give this another try and let’s see what we get So this cigar completely muted the flavor of this wine I was enjoying this one like crazy and I’m still going to enjoy this after this episode obviously but it really it really damper down the mood of this wine this wine to me has nice dryness to it it’s got a it’s got a
On the nose it’s obviously still very pressed pleasant I’m still enjoying the nose of this wine but in terms of the flavor profile it just sort of mutes it down this pants down would go amazingly well with scallops with lobster with mussels so I would encourage you guys to
If you’re ever in the Bordeaux region of France to get your hands on this guy this bad boy right here Chateau Hosting’s pecan it’s a beautiful beautiful white again they only produced very very small bottles and quantities of this particular white wine here in sending me Leon
But although you can pair with a cigar trying pairing with wops or try pairing it with some scallops does that mean to enjoy the heck out of it so guys I’m gonna continue to enjoy this I’m gonna continue to enjoy this amazing weather here in Bordeaux here it’s annually on
Thank you so much for joining us I’ll see you guys later on the next episode of America but there’s too much no no that you’re gonna do it again since as well this goes back One hour later Seats hours later thank you very much money don’t forget to subscribe now subscribe click right there

The most interesting man in the world. My Brother! Enjoyed the SpongeBob reference…Nice to see you in France. You are lucky to be there!
I am not a huge wine person, but I am adding it to the list of things to try with a cigar. Do you sell those Fratello button up shirts you had in your intro?
Lol.. lots of foot traffic there that day huh? I love seeing u in all these different places.. I'm not a huge wine drinker but I know a lot of folks that are.. too bad the smoke muted the flavors of the wine this time..but it's fun to live precariously thru u..
Great review again Omar. I wonder how the boxer would stand up against a bottle of Riesling?
That is a pairing i need to try
My favorite episode so far.
What up Frat! I would love to pair French wine with cigars!🍷💨💨
