You don’t need to bother going all the way to the supermarkets to buy ingredients. Did you know that the French people called it “pain perdu,” meaning “lost bread.” Why lost bread?
Originally, people made French toast from stale bread so they could use the bread that would have been thrown away 

Ingredients
Eggs: 2
Sugar: 2 tablespoons
Milk: ¼ cup
Salt: a pinch
Bread slices
Butter: for frying

Method:
Beat the eggs, sugar and salt together. Then add the milk and whisk everything together until well combined.
Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon butter and allow it to melt.
Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture and soak on both sides of the bread.
Fry the bread until golden brown on both sides.
Serve it with butter and maple syrup.
