Casa Rojo was founded in 2009 by the husband and wife team José Luis Gómez and Laura Muñoz. They originally didn’t have a vineyard and just bought grape from others but now have vineyards in In Tierra de Blancos, the Duero, the Mediterranean and Tokyo Gómez-Rojo.
This wine is 100% Tinta Fina ( or Tempranillo) and aged 14 months in French oak barrels. The grapes used to produce this wine come from the towns of Villálvaro, Sotillo de la Ribera, Moradillo, Hontoria, Peñafiel, Quintana del Pidio, Anguix and Curiel de Duero in the province of Burgos and Valladolid. The grapes come from old vineyards between 35 and 100 years old.
