Ingredients:
1 chicken.
6 slices of bacon
1 carrot, chopped in large pieces
1 onion, chopped in large pieces
3 celery stalks, chopped in large pieces
100 grams of mushrooms, chopped in quarters
3 glasses of Burgundy wine
2-3 sprigs of thyme
1 bay leaf
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces in the pan on all sides until they are golden in color.
Add the chopped onions, carrots and celery to the skillet and fry them along with the chicken until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and thyme to the pan and stir-fry along with the vegetables and chicken for 3-4 minutes.
Add the Burgundy wine to the pan and bring it to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low, add the bay leaf, salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, and cover. Simmer for 40 minutes.
