LAS TERRENAS: NIGHT SCENES | SAFETY| |RESTAURANTS | TRAVEL VLOG 2023
Downtown Las Terrenas has a different vibe at night time! I walk to downtown Las Terrenas to take in the street music, street scenes, and restaurants. I feel safe, walking from Hotel Oasis where I am staying in the Popy Beach area. At the end of the video, I show you the walk home at night time, along the Promenade, back to Popy Beach. Moto Conchos, taxis on scooters, 100 pesos, are always available if you don’t want to walk at night time.

The town is filled with authentic French, Italian, and Dominican restaurants, from casual dining to upscale restaurants with white linen tablecloths. In this video, we visit 2 different restaurants; La Bella Luna, a family-run Dominican beach-front restaurant; and the second, an upscale French restaurant, Paca Cabana, also on the beach. Next door, is a Gelato shop. All of the restaurants can be accessed from the beach or the street-side. Many of the family-run restaurants are converted fishing-shacks; Las Terrenas started out as a small fishing village.

NOTE: The small, family-run beach restaurants are cash only. The larger restaurants accept credit cards.
SMOKING: Unfortunately, there are no restrictions about smoking. Smoking is prevalent in the restaurants, patios, bars.
