Cabernet Sauvignon – Ridgeback Wines
«I’m in glorious Grindelwald to celebrate this stunning Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 from Ridgeback Wines in Paarl South Africa. This bold beautiful wine was matured for 16 months in a variety of small French Oak barrels, classic Cassis up front dark plum a little bit of mint coming through evolving into cigar box and dried herbs, firm ripe tannins on the palate a little bit of wood spice and a lovely minerality that lingers through. It’s quite quite delicious. I reckon this would pair beautifully with ribeye steak or entrecôte or venison or how about just some classic chocolate Gesundheit, Cheers, Santé, Prost. Äs guets Nöis!»
