Christmas Holiday Macarons || Cookies || Quick & Easy Recipes
Today’s recipe is for these Christmas cookies but they’re not just any kind of cookies, they are French macarons! They are very light and delicate little cookies with a crunchy exterior and soft chewy interior! These cookies are also very versatile, you’re able to change up the filling and colors in so many different ways!! I know you’re probably thinking that these cookies are a pain to make and you’re also wondering if you’ll get those perfect little feet on the bottom of the cookie… With this recipe, it’s guaranteed that they will turn out perfect with this one secret ingredient!

Ingredients:
2 egg whites
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons Meringue Powder
2/3 cup Almond Flour
1 cup Powdered Sugar
Directions:
Start off by whipping the egg whites with the meringue powder and granulated sugar until firm peeks form. This should take 1-2 minutes.
Put a sift on top of the mixture and sift the powdered sugar and almond flour right into the egg whites. Add a few drops of food coloring if you are using any.
Gently fold in the dry ingredients into the egg mixture very carefully until you’re able to drag the batter to make a figure eight.
Place the mixture into your pastry bag and pipe the cookies a little bigger than the size of a Hershey’s kiss onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
With your wet finger, press down any of the pointed tips the cookies may have.
Bang the cookie sheet on the counter a few times to release any of the air bubbles and top the cookies with whichever sprinkles you like. Allow the cookies to sit on the counter for 30 minutes to dry the tops. Once the tops have formed a skin that doesn’t stick to your finger when you touch it, Place them into your preheated oven at 300 Degrees F. For 15- 20 minutes.
Allow them to sit for 5 minutes on the sheet pan then remove and Place them on a cooling rack.
