Of course it does! All quality Australian Chardonnay is VALUE FOR MONEY – and by that I don’t mean cheap. The most expensive Chardonnay in Australia is circa $250AUD ($168USD), and the best of them stand toe to toe with the great Chardonnays of the old world (and by that, you know where I mean). Here I look at five great Chardonnays from Victoria, from $35AUD through to approx $120AUD – all excellent value wines in their own way. Some you buy to drink, some you buy to collect, and some you buy to explore. Chardonnay is one of the greatest grapes on the planet, taking on the personas of terroir, maker and style of its birthplaces. If you are interested in reading more about Victorian Chardonnay specifically, I just published an article yesterday on robertparker.com that dives into good detail with just short of 70 wines.
Drink well my friends.

Any review you see from me (on my socials ( this channel, my website ( and anywhere else) are never paid for by wineries or anyone else: the wines are featured on their merits – because they have risen to the top in tastings. If you try the wines I recommend and you like them – good! Because so do I.
