We drove to Arras from Folkestone via the Eurotunnel in this day trip. Although it was my first time driving to France, the journey was smooth and not that difficult, as long as one had prepared well in advance, such as making ready all the travel documents, car papers and identification label, etc. No doubt, GPS is a must for driving in a country you are not familiar with. The train journey took about 35 minutes and the road journey to Arras took another hour. Arras is a small town in northern France, but is a very beautiful and historical town. From the Clock Tower, one can have a panorama view of Arras and surrounds. It is open to the public and free to go up. The cathedral is also huge and magnificent. We had lunch with French wine in a local restaurant before walking around the town. People we met were all friendly and helpful. One thing to note is the parking lots in France are all very small and car parking in France is really challenging indeed. The first part of the video is the scenery captured along the highway. You may skip that part if you feel it boring. Enjoy the architectural beauty of the town, Arras.
