It’s Christmas time again! Texas Toast bread dipped in a yummy custard for an amazing Christmas/holiday brunch! The rum sauce too! Watch Bayyinah, author of Gimme that Recipe! whip up her personal Eggnog French Toast recipe with Rum Sauce! Eggnog and toast gets you in the perfect holiday feel!

French Toast Recipe List
6 slices of Texas sliced bread
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup eggnog
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground star anise (optional)
1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract

French Toast Directions
In a mixing bowl whisk together eggnog, eggs, spices and vanilla extract until well blended. Dip bread slices into egg custard one at a time. Transfer to a buttered griddle or nonstick pan and cook until the bottom is golden. About 2-3 minutes on each side.

Rum Sauce Recipe List
5 tablespoons butter, unsalted
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup brown sugar
pinch salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
2 tablespoons rum extract

Rum Sauce Directions
In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar, heavy cream, salt and lemon juice. Stir until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat and add the rum extract. Serve with the french toast as a syrup or dip.
