In this episode we collect our “special package” – a 13 week old Lagotto puppy. His name is Copernicus, but we call him Ernie for short and we are in love with him. Lagottos are known for being excellent truffle hunting dogs and are originally one of Italy’s oldest water dog breeds.
We also explore the region of Langhe with a stay in the beautiful village of Neviglie and even take ourselves to our first ever wine tasting since moving to Italy!

We sold our apartment in Stockholm, packed up the car and headed for Piemonte. After a couple of months searching for the right house we came across Our Italian Dream House and immediately made an offer. Four weeks later (just three days before Christmas) we signed the contract and had the keys.
It’s now early 2022 and we have begun work on the epic renovation that stands before us. We are mortgage free and have a very limited budget so plan to take on as much of the renovation ourselves as possible – follow us on our journey as we turn an abandoned Italian farmhouse into our dream home.
