👟 COMFORTABLE SHOES IN PARIS ✅
Paris is huge. And coming here be prepared to walk a lot!
🗣 Do not forget to say ‘Bonjour’ or to exchange pleasantries in Paris and in France ✅
Remember key words:
Bonjour, Bonsoir, Merci, s’il vous plaît, pardon, au revoir
The French love their greetings. Literally, everyone’s always greeting each other and doing the “bisous.”
🔒 Do not expect anything to be open on Sundays in Paris and in France ✅
If you’re looking to go shopping during your trip, take note that in France, almost all stores are closed on Sunday. You can still go to some museums and attractions.
Same as Norway or even Italy – the majority of businesses will be closed on Sunday.
Definitely check the opening hours of museums before visiting them. As it’s quite often they might be closed on Monday.
☀️ Thinking of summer? August is a ghost month in most cities of France ✅
Most of France is on their summer holidays during the month of August and one thing to know is that summer is a HOLY grail to the French.
So if you had high expectations for your summer vacation to France, remember that August is pretty much a dead month. Most small shops will also be closed during this time to have their summer vacation.
🫕 Do not expect fast waiting times or service in Paris and in France ✅
French people, in general, are very relaxed and chill. Things here move a little bit slower.
🇫🇷 if You are planning to move to France or to Paris – you must learn French ✅
There’s no other way. France is not Norway, you won’t get away here with speaking English only.
‼️ LET’S TALK ABOUT MANNERS AND BEHAVIOUR when you are in Paris .. and in France in general
DON’T SPEAK and DON’T LAUGH to loud in Paris and in France in general
‼️ Don’t get drunk in France. Especially when it’s Apero.
No matter that both Italy and French are the mother countries of wine, champagne, Prosecco people don’t tend to get really drunk here. At least not in public.
Apero? Appetizer? Technically, yes but not really. An apero is a drink or two, usually a strong cocktail or beer, that French people usually have before dinner (to open up one’s appetite), along with a few bites of saucisson or cheese.
👗 CLOTHING in France ✅
Guys, please stop wearing your flip flops in the world’s fashion capitals. Yes, I’m taking about Paris, Rome, Milan here …
What’s the option for the summer when it’s super hot? Sandals! Or any other open shoes
Can’t do without sock at all – trainers! Get some light summer trainers
Another cool hint seems like to be working in Milan, Rome, London and Paris – I’m using it myself for about 3 years – always works.
Winter go for black
Summer fo for white.
The only 2 safe colours- if you are not sure – to add will be beige and stripes.
🇫🇷 Don’t Visit Paris ONLY ✅
If you’re going to France, then don’t stick to only seeing Paris. The country is full of beautiful hidden gems and cultural experiences all around.
But France is more than just Paris, and discovering other parts of the country like Bretagne, Provence or the Alps is so much more of a fulfilling experience than simply going to Paris.
