Shirley Daventry French has lived in Metchosin since 1972. While raising her 3 children here, she engaged on a fascinating and fulfilling career in yoga which led to her studying under several world-renowned yogis – some of whom graced our beautiful Metchosin shores. Shirley has taught yoga for over 50 years, both locally, including here in Metchosin, and all over the world. Shirley is also the founder and matriarch of the Iyengar Yoga Centre of Victoria and remains actively engaged with them to this day. One of her three children, Rachel, joins Shirley in conversation about her adventures.
