In this episode, we travel from the Gare de Lyon train station in Paris, south to the Mediterranean. We arrived in Toulon and were picked up by our good friend from Tahiti. She took us into the Provence region of France to their home in Bandol. This little gem of a city caught us by surprise, with its’ palm lined promenade, marina and beautiful beach. We caught some drone footage of the area covered in fine homes, swimming pools, and of course vineyards. This region is extremely well known for its’ wine production.
After arriving we grabbed a pizza from the local pizza truck and enjoyed hanging out with friends. The following day, we spent at the beach with the kids frolicking in the water and the adults relaxing in the sand. Flew the drone for some wonderful shots of the city, beach, and marina.
That evening followed it up with an amazing dinner at Le Castellet, which was a nicely protected medieval village from the late 1600’s. This area of France was quiet and quaint, just how we like it. The water was crystal clear, albeit a little fresh.
This would be considered one of the best kept secrets in France, the crowds were small and the scenery was way above par with the ancient architecture and nature all around.
