This Napa Valley 3 Michelin Star restaurant looks like a house from the outside but provides a fantastic foodie experience plus elegance and artful serving that blew my mind. Until now I did not understand. Yes, you should check into this foodie bucket list destination. This is the thing to do in Yountville and Napa Valley.
Chef Thomas Keller and the French Laundry has a 3 acre garden across the street that supplies much of the veggies and flower. The chefs also partner with quality provisioners to provide a menu that changes daily based on what is best available.
Service is continuous. There is not just one server per table but a team. The extensive wine list is on an electronic tablet but the servers are very helpful in parring wine and will volunteer to find wines in your price range and taste.
There is a chef’s tasting menu and also a vegetarian menu. Within the fixed menu thee are 2 upsell options that add a cost to the fixed cost menu. Yes, of course wine is extra.
The sister location is the Per Se restaurant in New York. The chefs source some of the same provisions from single source for both restaurants. Keller also has these restaurants in Yountville: Ad Hoc, Addendum, Bouchon and Bouchon Bakery.
There is private dining available if your party is more that 7.
