Still fully into the France content! I headed back to Lyon and the Rhone Alpes region for a special week-end. Every year on the third Thursday of November the first wine pressing of the Beaujolais wine comes out and it is a big celebration as it is the first wine of the year. I reunited with my dearest colleagues and friends from the wine harvest to celebrate this week-end together. We caught up, had drinks, danced and sung. The next day we had a family style breakfast together and headed out to taste test the Beaujolais Nouveau 2021 at several cellars, starting with the one that we picked grapes for so our wine! We then headed to the village party to eat, drink more and close off our visit dancing together. I also visited the old Lyon and the Gallo Roman museum while I was in the city, as well as spending time with my family and popping over to see my grand parents.
