It is said that the French people are the most numerous wine consumers in the world. Fact or not, this trip from the predominantly German city of Bern to the French Lausanne is an eye opener as the trip goes on a late-autumn like weather to snowy winter and eventually to the beautiful fields of grape vines on the hills facing lake Geneva.
Travelling in all Switzerland, have not seen a single grape plantation, as soon as we entered the Vaud canton (00:58:06) , fields were crammed with grape plantations. There is barely any other type of plantation. Grape, more than surely for wine. These people sure do love their wine! 😀
Enjoy!
