Mary McDougall’s easy French toast recipe from the Starch Solution book is what I will be sharing with you today. This French Toast recipe is so quick and easy. it’s on page 223 in the Starch Solution book. I have made a couple changes to the original recipe. This time I will be using my air fryer for the first time making this recipe. You can also make it on the stove top or griddle no problem. I just wanted to change it up. so here is what you will need to make Mary McDougall’s French toast recipe from the Starch Solution Book with a couple of changes. ( I added vanilla powder and used air fryer)
Ingredients:
2 cups plant milk
3 T chopped dates
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder (optional)
dash of turmeric
12 slices bread (I used gluten free bread)
Instructions:
Put all ingredients except bread into high speed blender and blend till smooth or most of the dates are blended
Pour mixture into a shallow dish and soak the bread on each side for minute or so letting the excess drip off before you place in air fryer basket
Set air fryer @ 400 degrees for 10 minutes, flipping after 5. Top with maple syrup and fruit of your choice
