Recipe for french onion chicken thigh skillet:

To season chicken thighs:
• 4 bone-in chicken thighs

salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Italian seasoning (about 1/4 tsp of each)

For caramelized onions:
• 2 large @vidaliaonions thinly sliced
• 1/2 tsp of dry thyme
• 1/2 tsp of salt
• pinch of pepper

1 tsp of fresh garlic

For sauce:
• 1/4 cup of broth
• 1/3 cup heavy cream
• 1 tbsp of butter
• 1 tbsp of chopped parsley
• salt and pepper to taste

Splash of dry white wine such as pinot grigio or a dry rose *optional

To finish the dish:
• 1 cup of shredded gruyere cheese..sub with white cheddar if needed

sprinkle of fresh parsley

Bake chicken at 450 degrees until chicken is cooked through, about 15 minutes depending on the thickness of the chicken thighs. Use a meat thermometer to be sure chicken registers at 165 degrees F.
