Covid-19 infections in France have reached a record high as the omicron strain spreads throughout the nation, resulting in an increasing number of hospitalizations.
According to statistics from the public health office, there were 464,769 new cases on Tuesday. That was a significant increase above the previous record high of 368,149 set only a week before.
It comes as France prepares to demand a full vaccination schedule for various public activities, including dining out, going to the movies, and flying, arguing that just having a recent negative test isn’t enough anymore.
In the wake of President Macron’s call to “p*** off” anyone who don’t get vaccinated earlier this month, Europe’s tough approach towards the unvaccinated is about to alter.
