Greek wines are growing in stature in the wine world, joining the likes of the celebrated French, Spanish, and Italian wines. We join Greek wine expert Yiannis Karakasis, born and raised in Athens, to help us understand and interpret everything related to the wines of Greece, especially Santorini. Yiannis’s new book The Wines of Santorini is a catalog of the island’s wineries and deep dive into all things related to Santorini wine. Previously a Greek Navy helicopter pilot, Yiannis is now one of Greece’s foremost wine experts, frequently consulting with hotels, restaurants, retailers, and exporters. He regularly promotes Greek wine around the world from Europe to Australia, and is an associate of national and regional wine bodies.
