JC escapes from the sinking freighter and makes contact with Dowd, who points to a fellow Illuminatus, Morgan Everett – currently in hiding in Paris. There’s a weak trail to follow thanks to the French terrorist group Silhouette, loosely connected to a family associated with Everett. The catch, however, is they’re hiding too: Paris is now under martial law thanks to MJ12, and the stalwart leadership of Chad only gets you so far in the face of bots and commandos.
