I had a great opportunity to test a possible collaboration between Chef Thomas Keller and Daou Vineyards.
They sent us 6 bottles of Daou Vineyards wine, along with the first of three prepared meals, where all I had to do was heat it using a sous vide method.
This was as simple as they explained it would be, and felt as though I was able to make a world class meal that one would get in a fine restaurant.
Daou Vineyards produces world class wines in Paso Robles, and is my favorite wine. I have been consuming their wines for 10 years now, and am a huge fan of not only the wine, but the vision, the staff, and the property. You need to visit them.
Chef Thomas Keller is an American chef, restaurateur, and cookbook writer. Among other restaurants he is the owner of The French Laundry in Napa Valley. I’ve been to his Ad Hoc restaurant years ago, and always visit Bouchon Bakery in Las Vegas. You must experience his creations. He has seven Michelin Stars.
I really hope you enjoy this video, and that Daou Vineyards and Thomas Keller continue this project and make it possible for you to enjoy this experience as well. I will also bring you a video of the next two meal and wine pairings as soon as they come in.
I’m waiting to get permission to post the links that were sent to me featuring Georges Daou, and Chef Thomas Keller, where they explain why this project and how to prepare these meals.
Thank you Daou Vineyards and Chef Thomas Keller for including me in this!
Huge shoutout to Daniel Daou, the best wine maker in the world!
