Wine 5 of 6: Seppelt Arrawatta Hill Shiraz Great Western 2019
THE RELEASE OF THIS LIMITED-EDITION, SINGLE VINEYARD WINE COMMEMORATES THE 170TH ANNIVERSARY OF SEPPELT’S WINEMAKING HERITAGE THIS YEAR.
A subregion of Great Western the Arrawatta Hill Shiraz pushes winemaking boundaries with the entire blend consisting of partial whole bunch fermented parcels, It is the first single block red crafted from Arrawatta Hill. The vineyards date back to 1888 purchased by Hans Irvine for sparkling production, it was replaced in 1999 with shiraz. Open fermented on skins for 8-10 days, 14 months in french oak vats and puncheons.
