Life in France and in particular life in France in 2021 has become very challenging especially for eating out in France for the unvaccinated with strict covid restrictions currently in place ( this Life in France was filmed in 4K).

Recently strict covid restrictions have been put in place in France which can be seen as either helping to stop the spread of covid or to force the unvaccinated to get vaccinated by stripping away their liberties – it is now a legal requirement in France to have a health pass ( a covid vaccine passport ) in order to enjoy life in France to its fullest.

For me, one of the great aspects of French life is the French food and currently not being able to enjoy a restaurant in France is a big blow not only for the unvaccinated but all those French businesses who have barely survived the covid closures only to now operate within a restricted market.

For the unvaccinated it is now illegal to eat in a restaurant in France, to enjoy a coffee or drink in a cafe or bar, to visit the cinema, a museum, a nightclub, and even zoos! ( Buses and Trains are also off-limits for the unvaccinated in France )

There have been protests in Paris and throughout France against the strong measures currently being taken in France.

There have been violent protests in France, Italy, and Australia against covid restrictions.

The French as a whole have been very reluctant to get the covid vaccine compared to the UK but it is now reported that 60% of the French adult population are vaccinated, if that was now the case it does not make much sense why such strong covid-19 restrictions are in place and the need for a health passport.

The health pass ( Covid vaccine passport ) is given to individuels once they have had both vaccine injections and have passed the set timescales for the vaccines to be working, at that point you can either print off your French health Pass or download it as an app to show on entry to various places that require to see you are fully vaccinated.

I moved to France for a new life in France in 2006 and for me, France feels like home now and I could never see myself returning to the UK as I love my life in France.

Its just a shame at the moment our French lives are currently being restricted due to the ongoing world health situation with the Covid -19 pandemic.

To get over the situation of not being able to enjoy eating out in France for the unvaccinated we are enjoying a banquet meal at home once per week, with a nice meal, a chilled bottle of wine followed by a delicious dessert.
