Rompelo is inspired by the Tiktok viral videos of ‘Jay Kinda Funny’, a young man who immigrated to the U.S.A., from Mexico. He left his family to find success as an entertainer/artist. He succeeded pretty fast, and has now over 16 million followers on Tiktok. Karl Wine is originally from French Guyana and moved to The Netherlands and he recognized a lot in the story of Jay Kinda Funny. That’s why he wanted to honor Jay’s the story by using his own expertise; making happy and danceable music.
