The Norwegian Jade was built in 2006 at Meyer Werft Shipyard, originally as Pride of Hawaii. She is the second of NCL’s four Jewel-class ships. At that time, the Norwegian Cruise Line cruise ship was operated for their NCL America division. In 2008, the ship was renamed Norwegian Jade and deployed to Europe as part of the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. The 93,558 GT cruise ship can accommodate 2,402 passengers (double occupancy) served by 1,037 crew. In 2017, as part of the Norwegian Edge investment program, the ship underwent a three-week dry dock for an important refurbishment. This extensive renovation replaced the Hawaiian theme with a modern and contemporary style. The ship received new restaurants, bars and lounges – (IMO 9304057)
