CHIJMES Walking Tour- Singapore Scene 4K
This video will take a walking tour at Chijmes and have a look of what can be seen in the compound.
CHIJMES was build during the colonial days in 1841 as a Caldwell house for the Senior Magistrate’s clerk and in 1853 this place was bought over by Father Beurel and a girls’ school was build in addition to the house and Singapore St Nicholas Girls’ School was established within the compound together an orphanage for children and a boarding house. In 1904 An Anglo-French Gothic Chapel was build with beautiful plasterwork, wall frescoes and Belgian stained glass windows. Today this place have transform in to exciting dining and chill out place with restaurants, bars, and cafes.
