Every month, Outset Medical hosts a 90-minute “Unplugged Session” for Outsetters at our home office, able to be joined virtually by remote team members. Going offline during the workday to learn about something new together, each session presents an opportunity to dive deeply into a topic related to how we work at work. Every month, a new Unplugged session introduces us to a unique speaker whose experiences and insights can help us grow as individuals and as a team. In October, our guest was Ruben Moreno, biodynamic wine pioneer and former sommelier of The French Laundry. After the session, our VP of People Ops Stacey Porter interviewed Ruben about some of his formative influences in leadership style and the effects of quantum team practices.
