The weather hasn’t been so great in the French alps and probably won’t be for a bit… so I took advantage of a two day, not so windy weather window to go on a small vol biv trip from Vallouise to Chamonix (Thanks Pierre for dropping me off 😉 ).
It was too windy to go further south on day 1, so I took it easy and landed above Briancon. It was less turbulent the next day so I managed to fly towards Chamonix ! I’ll follow the route to Italy, west of the Mont Blanc massif another time, when the wind is calmer 🙂
I had never flown above these beautiful mountains, which are way bigger than the ones close to Grenoble. Still a lot to explore, Les Ecrins National Park opens up and can be flown from July 1st onwards, and there are still quite a few places in the French Alps where I haven’t flown yet !
