There’s nothing better than an Ina Garten recipe especially if it’s 5 ingredients! We are trying her 5 ingredient French Apple Tart that promises to be easy but ultra impressive. Well let’s put that to the test today, how can something so easy with few ingredients look so pretty and taste delicious? We won’t put anything past Ina Garten, she is the queen of fancy but easy cooking. All we need is puff pastry, apples, sugar, butter and a little apricot jelly. Sounds easy, all accessible ingredients that you don’t need to go to France to buy. Alright, let’s see if baking this easy apple tart stacks up against Ina’s other recipes. Come help us peel some apples!

QUICK TIPS WE LEARNED AFTER TEST:
1. Pay attention: Make sure to use a pan with sides to hold in your apple juices and melted sugar & butter! If not, you’ll be alerted by the fire alarm, airing out your kitchen and scrubbing your oven 🙂
2. Make life easy, Ina wants you to make her puff pastry but she’s also used frozen puff pastry from the grocery store in other recipes. It works just as good! Don’t roll it out.
3. Place your first apple rows in the center, overlapping the slices then work your rows out.
4. Don’t forget the vanilla ice cream!
