Château Gazin Rocquencourt, whose origins date back to the Middle Ages, is quoted in 15th-century texts under Château Gazin. It is also known as one of the oldest castles in Pessac Leognan, and the first vineyards are from 1660. To eradicate confusion and confusion with the Chateau Gazin in Pomerol, the castle changed its name to the current Gazin Rocquencourt in 1995.

The wines from Chateau Gazin Rocquencourt are generally considered high quality, which the International Review Corps also confirm. Robert Parker, James Suckling, Antonio Galloni (Vinous) and Jancis Robinson all follow suit with the enthusiastic French wine media when points are awarded.
