This rose is a blend of #cinsault #grenache and #syrah from a blend of various vineyard sites within the region. The grapes are harvested in the cooler evenings and nights, after a short maceration the fruit is cold pressed and the juices are settled at lower temperatures. There was no malolactic fermentation on this wine.
The nose is very appealing with lots of fresh strawberry, red currant and cranberry aromas, with some darker cherries and blackberry flavours too. Its very floral, and has spice and mineral flavours too.
On the palate the wine is dry, medium bodied, has a high acidity and persistence. The red fruits are there with a crunchy texture also. The finish does keep on going and lingers there for a while.
Overall I do like this Rose. Its fun, fresh and better than a lot of examples in my opinion from that part of the world and worth getting hold of if you can. I find many rose from the Provence to be very uninviting and not that great, this is worth trying for sure.
